In order to obtain your veteran discounts, you will need a Suffolk County Resident Veteran ID card.
In order to obtain a Suffolk County Resident Veteran ID Card, you would need to come down to our office, which is located in the H. Lee Dennison Building on 100 Veterans Memorial Highway in Hauppauge, NY 11788.
What you would need to bring with you is your driver’s license to show Suffolk County residency. If your driver’s license has a P.O. Box on it, then you must bring a piece of mail, namely a bill, which is addressed to you at your physical address to show Suffolk County residency. Also, you would need to bring your DD-214 that shows active duty service beyond training and an honorable discharge. Lastly, if you receive compensation from the VA for a service-connected disability, you would need to bring a copy of your rating decision.
We are open Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 4 PM, and you can come down any time between those times to get your card.
