RESIDENT, JR., SENIOR CITIZEN, HANDICAP GREEN KEY:
Valid for three years from date of purchase. SuffolkCounty residents/property owners must provide two forms of proof of residency, one proof must be a photo I.D. (driver’s license or N.Y. non-driver photo identification card); second proof can be any of the following: Suffolk County property tax bill, property deed, motor vehicle registration, utility bill, library card, a SuffolkCounty voter’s registration card, or an official residential lease for a minimum of nine months. Post Office boxes are not accepted as proof of residency.
Resident senior citizens (60 and over) will receive discounted rates as indicated with proper I.D.
To receive handicapped discount green key, applicant must be a Suffolk County resident with above residency proof and show either a New York State Parks Access Pass or S.C. Handicapped I.D. card (yellow photo I.D.) issued by Suffolk County Office of Handicapped Services. Handicap parking permits are not accepted as handicapped status.
VOLUNTEER FIRE FIGHTER, EMT & AUXILIARY POLICE GREEN KEY:
Valid for three years from date of purchase. Suffolk County resident volunteer fire fighters, ambulance personnel & auxiliary police will be charged senior citizen rates for park fees (excluding golf). Residency requirements as listed above. Auxiliary Police I.D. required. Firefighter/Emt. identification must be dated within one year, or a letter on official stationary from their fire department/ambulance company/police department dated within 30 days.
VETERAN GREEN KEY:
Valid for three years from date of purchase. SuffolkCounty resident Veterans will be charged senior citizen rates for park fees (excluding golf). Must submit DD Form 214 (Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty) or SC Veteran Resident ID card - issued by SC Vets Agency.
DISABLED VETERAN GREEN KEY: (FREE)
Valid for three years from date of purchase. Residency requirements as above. Suffolk County residents with V.A. issued Identification Card stating “Service Connected” disability are exempt from all fees EXCEPT ALL GOLF FEES, CAMPING RESERVATION FEES AND GOLF & CAMPING RESERVATION PENALTY FEES.
ACTIVE MILITARY EXEMPT GREEN KEY: (FREE) *Sold at West Sayville Operations Office Only*
Current active duty military personnel and Suffolk County resident families of deployed or mobilized (more than two week duty) active duty military personnel are exempt from paying park dailyfees (excluding: golf reservation and processing fees and all annual permit fees). Military Personnel will need the following: Miltary I.D. card and Orders of Assignment. Families of Active Military Personnel will need: Family member military I.D. card, mobilization and/or deployment orders. Suffolk County residency requirements as above are also needed to obtain an exempt Military Green Key Card (valid and renewable at the end of each calendar year). Available at Parks Operations Office in West Sayville only.
NON RESIDENT GREEN KEY:
Allows non-residents access to golf and camping reservation system on a limited basis, tourist rates apply and certain privileges or holidays may not be available to non-residents.. The Non Resident Green Key card can also be purchased via phone through the Parks Operations Office (Mon. – Fri. 8:30 am – 4:30 pm) with a Visa or a Mastercard. Valid for one year from date of purchase.
** ALL DISCOUNTS are NON-TRANSFERABLE, and can only be received by person whose name appears on the discount card. **
CANCELLATION/NO SHOW FEES :
CAMPING: There will be a $25 processing fee if a reservation is cancelled or adjusted forty-eight hours after it is made. If the reservation is cancelled within one week of the check-in date, there will be a $45 charge. If a reservation is cancelled the day of the reservation or a Green Key holder does not check in by the prescribed check-in time, they will be considered a no-show. The penalty is a $45 No-Show Fee. Besides the $25 and $45 fees, a $12.00 reservation fee will also be charged.
GOLF: If a reservation is cancelled or modified between 12 and 48 hours prior to the scheduled tee time, a $3.00/reservation processing fee per player will be charged. If a reservation is cancelled or adjusted within 12 hours prior to the scheduled tee time, a $5/per player fee will be charged as well as a $3.00/per player reservation fee.
GREEN KEYS WITH $35.00 OF OUTSTANDING FEES WILL BE PLACED ON "HOLD"
If your Green Key is on 'Hold" you can not make a reservation or use your Green Key for special discounts until the outstanding fees are paid.
Outstanding fees can be paid at any Suffolk County Golf Course or campground and the West Sayville Administration Building.
They may also be paid over the phone with a Visa or a Mastercard at (631) 854-4949.
There is a $5.00 fee to replace a lost or damaged key. If you suspect unauthorized use, or need information call (631) 854-4949.
