Hard surface ramp, hand launch. Located exit 56 off the LIE (Rte 111 north) to Rte 25 west (left) about 1.5 miles on the right. Parking lot accommodates 50 cars and trailers.

Rent Canoes and Kayaks from Nissequogue River & Kayak Rentals, a County Park Vendor. Paddle along for 5.5 miles of the unspoiled nature of Suffolk County’s north shore. Your canoe or kayak trip begins or ends at the "Headwaters" at Paul T. Given County Park. Call in advance for Tidal Information. 631-979-8244

Peconic River Canoe Launch
Route 25, Riverhead

This new launching site was made possible through the Peconic Estuary Improvement Project that was conducted by the New York State Department of Transportation. This site provides direct access for canoe/kayak enthusiasts to the Peconic River.

Shinnecock Canal County Marina

Shinnecock Marina, located on the northeast end of the Shinnecock Canal, offers visiting yachts, either passing through the canal or cruising the Peconic or Shinnecock Bay, a variety of opportunities.

Shinnecock Marina offers a fully equipped facility including free sewage pump out station, restrooms and showers, water and electric hookups. Reservations for transient slips may be made using the automated reservation system by making a reservation directly on our website. Visitors may utilize Meschutt Beach County Park adjacent to the Marina (no charge). Lifeguard protected swimming and full service concession stand available. The Meschutt Beach Hut will cater to the marina (631) 728-4099.

Smith Point Boat Ramp
William Floyd Parkway, Shirley

This marina offers a boat ramp for Green Key holders looking to spend a day on the water. The boat ramp features a freshwater wash-down and 50 parking spots for trailers. Yearly or daily permits are required.

Swan Pond
River Road, Calverton

Scenic pond located in the heart of Calverton just south of Grumman Blvd offers hand launch ramp for kayaks, paddleboards and rowboats. Parking is limited to 3 cars.

Timber Point Marina

Situated on the Great South Bay, Timber Point is divided into two areas that provide a total of 153 seasonal slips. Boaters interested in seasonal dockage should contact the Administration Office at (631) 854-4952 for information on slip availability, fees and services.

Timber Point East will accommodate 72 large, deep draft vessels. In addition, 10 transient slips are available for cruising yachtsman. A fuel dock, free sewage pump out station, restrooms, and ample parking available at Timber Point East.

Timber Point West will facilitate boats up to 29'. A free pump out station is available. Seasonal slip users may also have access to parks launching ramp. Contact park office for details. Boaters may also use restrooms and showers at East Marina.
