PUBLIC NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that the Suffolk County Department of Economic Development and Planning has received 21 applications for new 10-acre shellfish aquaculture leases; one application for a 20-acre lease overlay on a private oyster grant; and one lease site relocation. All proposed lease sites are located with the County’s Shellfish Cultivation Zone in Peconic and Gardiners Bays and were solicited and applied for under the 2018 Lease Application Cycle pursuant to Local Law 25-2009, A Local Law Establishing the Suffolk County Shellfish Aquaculture Lease Program in Peconic Bay and Gardiners Bay (Chapter 475, Article II of the Suffolk County Code).

This Public Notice identifies the applicants applying for new 10-acre shellfish aquaculture leases and their proposed site locations.

Suffolk County Shellfish Aquaculture Lease Program in Peconic Bay and Gardiners Bay Public Notice: Request for Written Comments on Proposed Shellfish Aquaculture Lease Sites - Issue Date: April 11, 2018 - Expiration Date: June 11, 2018. This Public Notice identifies an applicant who is applying for a 20-acre lease overlay on their private oyster grant in Great Peconic Bay for the purpose of cultivating species other than oysters.

Suffolk County Shellfish Aquaculture Lease Program in Peconic Bay and Gardiners Bay Public Notice: Proposed Lease Site Relocation - Issue Date: April 11, 2018 - Expiration Date: June 11, 2018. This Public Notice identifies the Leaseholder who is applying to relocate from its current lease site location to a new lease site location, and its proposed lease sites.
