Committees

Systems Planning and Development Sub-Committee

This committee will continue to work toward bringing the various criminal justice stakeholders together for the purpose of creating and reinforcing efficiency measures for the benefit of the entire system.

Activities: policy, legislation, program development, research and evaluation, training; grants, special studies, agency coordination,technical assistance; can form workgroups fro special projects.

Time: 2:00pm – 4:00pm

Programs and Services for Adults and Juveniles Committee

This committee will continue to work toward bringing the various criminal justice stakeholders together with treatment and service providers for the purpose of identifying and developing policies and programs which reduce crime and improve public safety.

Activities: identify resources and services; define specific problems/needs; report on progress of programs; work with Systems Committee to carry out goals of the CJCC.

2008 Meeting Schedule

Location: Community Mental Hygiene Training Room, Hauppauge, NY

Time: 2:00pm – 4:00pm

Dates:  March 27th; September 3rd; November 20th


Reentry Task Force

This Task Force is an interdisciplinary group comprised of representatives from criminal justice, treatment, and services responsible for the planning and coordination of reentry services designed to improve the successful transition of offenders as the return from incarceration to Suffolk County to live productive law abiding lives.

  2008 Meeting Schedule

Location: Suffolk County Department of Probation, Yaphank, NY (to be held in the Fire Rescue Emergency Services training room)

Time: 10:00am – 12:00pm

Dates:  April 29th; June 3rd; July 15th; August 19th; September 30th; October 28th; December 2nd.
