Effective September 14, 2009 until Further Notice

The Parks Department offers numerous recreational opportunities for park visitors on its outer beaches. Weather and beach conditions permitting, the Parks Department allows day and night fishing, camping and day trips for patrons with a properly permitted 4-wheel drive vehicle.

The outer beach at Smith Point County Park -  is open with limited access.  Take Cut 1A to Burma Rd head East to inlet.  Access to inlet is for fishing only.  Outerbeach is closed for daytripping.  For updates on Outer Beach conditions, please call (631) 852-1315.

Cupsogue Beach County Park in Westhampton is open for outer beach camping (20 campers) and camping off parking lot (10 campers). Outer Beach Road is open.  

The outer beach at Theodore Roosevelt County Park in Montauk is open with limited access. For availability please call (631)852-7879

The outer beach at Shinnecock East is open and fully accessible at this time.

The outer beach at Charles F. Altenkirck County Park formerly known at Shinnecock West County Park is CLOSED to any vehicle access at this time.

The outer beach at Cedar Point County Park in East Hampton is open. Outer beach camping is not permitted.
