Yaphank RFP Background Information In early 2006 the County issued a Request for Expressions of Interest (RFEI) for the possible disposition of approximately 250 acres of land at the Yaphank County Center. The County received eleven proposals in response to the RFEI. The Yaphank Center Development Outreach Committee issued recommendations regarding the proposals to the County Executive and the Legislature in September 2006 in the report Recommendations of the Yaphank County Center Development Request for Expressions of Interest (RFEI) Outreach Committee, September 2006.
