Dr. Humayun J. Chaudhry, D.O., M.S., Commissioner of the Suffolk County Department of Health Services, announced today that a Public Health Hearing has been scheduled for Tuesday, October 21, 2008 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the main meeting room at the KermitW.GrafCornellCooperativeExtensionBuilding, 423 Griffing Avenue, Riverhead, NY.
County law directs the Department of Health Services to hold two public health hearings each year. On May 12 a public hearing was held in Hauppauge. The purpose of these hearings is to obtain input from county residents as to the quality of the health care delivery system and how it services their needs.
Residents who are unable to attend the hearing and wish to submit testimony are encouraged to send written testimony to the Suffolk County Department of Health Services, 225 Rabro Drive East, Hauppauge, NY11788, Attention: Wendy Ladd. Written testimony will be accepted until November 15, 2008.
