Sayville Beach is Closed to Bathing

 

East Islip Beach, Lake Ronkonkoma Beach in Islip and Huntington Beach Community Association in Centerport are Open to Bathing

 

T anner Park Beach Remains Closed to Bathing

 

Humayun J. Chaudhry, D.O., M.S., Commissioner of the Suffolk County Department of Health Services, said today that SayvilleBeach has been closed to bathing due to the finding of bacterial levels in excess of acceptable criteria.

 

Dr. Chaudhry also said today that the beach closures issued for East Islip, LakeRonkonkomaBeach in Islip and Huntington Beach Community Association in Centerport have been rescinded, as results of recent samples collected show the water quality to be within acceptable levels.

 

However, TannerParkBeach in Copiague will also remain closed to bathing until subsequent samples indicate that water quality has improved.
