SUFFOLK COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH SERVICES SCHEDULES

A PUBLIC HEALTH HEARING

Linda Mermelstein, M.D., M.P.H., Acting Commissioner of the Suffolk County Department of Health Services, announced today that a Public Health Hearing has been scheduled for Thursday, October 29, 2009 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Second Floor Meeting Room at KermitW.GrafCornellCooperativeExtensionBuilding, 423 Griffing Avenue, Riverhead, NY11901.

County law directs the Department of Health Services to hold two public health hearings each year.  The purpose of these hearings is to obtain input from county residents as to the quality of the health care delivery system and how it services their needs. 

Residents who are unable to attend the hearing and wish to submit testimony are encouraged to send written testimony to our Administration Offices (address above), attention:  Grace McGovern.  Written testimony will be accepted until November 15, 2009.
