The Purchasing Office which operates under the NYS General Municipal Law 103 and 104B is responsible for the purchase of all equipment, supplies and services required by all county departments and agencies with the following exceptions:
1.the requirements of the Board of Elections
2.the highway and construction related requirements of the Suffolk County Department of Public Works
The Purchasing Office also has the authority to sell surplus equipment.

DEFERRED COMPENSATION SERVICES
COUNTY OF SUFFOLK, NY
The Suffolk County (NY) Public Employees Deferred Compensation Board is soliciting proposals from qualified providers for investment services, record keeping and other plan services. The plan has approximately 9,000 participants with assets in excess of $1.1 billion. Proposed services and products must meet the requirements of Section 457 of the Internal Revenue Code and The New York State Model Plan, as amended April 25, 2012. Responses are due no later than 4:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time on Monday, September 22, 2014.

Click on the Register link under the VALIC logo on the left side of the page and fill out the form (Minimum password length is 7 characters). After receiving confirmation that you are registered, log into the website. A new link will appear on the Main Menu for Request For Proposals; you can download the forms and documents there. The RFP will be available on the website beginning August 8, 2014.
