Short Term Care The John J. Foley Skilled Nursing Facility is one of the region’s most modern and extensive rehabilitation facilities. Our comprehensive complement of services includes physical, occupational, speech and audiology therapy. While available to ensure the continued health and well being of our long-term residents and the registrants of our Adult Day Health Care Program, the Rehabilitation Department is also well equipped to handle the often more demanding needs of those recovering from disabling accidents or surgical procedures. For the weeks that they stay with us, these short-term residents enjoy the same exemplary care and amenities as our long-term residents, including the same daily visiting hours of 11:00 am to 9:00 pm. In addition to our park-like suburban campus, state-of-the-art facilities, and outstanding programs, there are several things that make our facility ideal for the short-term, sub-acute patient: The best staff-to-patient ratio in the region Medical care provided by full-time, on-site physicians, nurse practitioners, and physiatrists - physicians specializing rehabilitation medicine A uniquely youthful resident population (more than one third are under 60) A broad spectrum of medical, social and personal services ensuring that the resident’s physical, psychological and daily living needs are accommodated It is a fact that many of those whose health requires continued skilled nursing care, elect to stay at John J. Foley after their rehabilitation is complete.
