| The Emergency Service Section performs a variety of services for the public throughout the Suffolk County Police District as well as assisting the East End Police Departments.
The Emergency Service Section handles the following types of incidents and tactical situations:

Motor Vehicle Accidents |
Extrications |
Confined Space Rescue |
Barricaded Subjects |
Hostage Situations |
High Risk Search Warrant Service |
Dignitary Protection |
Bomb Squad - handling of all explosives, military ordnance and fireworks, etc. |
Member of the Hazardous Material Response Team for Suffolk County |
