The IC3 gives the victims of cyber crime a convenient and easy-to-use reporting mechanism that alerts authorities of suspected criminal or civil violations. For law enforcement and regulatory agencies at the federal, state, local and international level, IC3 provides a central referral mechanism for complaints involving Internet related crimes.
IC3 accepts online Internet crime complaints from either the person who believes they were defrauded or from a third party to the complainant.
They can best process your complaint if they receive accurate and complete information from you. Therefore, they request that you provide the following information when filing a complaint:

WHAT IS THE POLICE EXPLORER PROGRAM?
Law enforcement exploring is a learning for life, career and leadership development program which gives youth insight into the skills and techniques needed to succeed in life and as a police officer. The program is supported by the Boy Scouts of America as well as the Suffolk County Police Department. This specialty youth career oriented program is endorsed by federal, state and local law enforcement agencies, the International Association of Chiefs of Police, and the National Sheriff's Association. More than 2,800 police and sheriff's departments have organized explorer posts specializing in law enforcement. While explorers do not perform as police officers, they can provide assistance in public service programs, such as crime prevention programs. The explorers have the benefit of seeing first hand what exactly the law enforcement profession entails and whether or not they would like to pursue this as their chosen profession.
AM I OLD ENOUGH FOR THE POLICE EXPLORER PROGRAM?
The Police Explorer Program is open to males and females from ages 14 to 20.

WHY DO YOU HAVE TO WRITE TRAFFIC TICKETS FOR HOV VIOLATIONS DURING RUSH HOUR? DO YOUR OFFICERS HAVE TO STAND OUTSIDE OF THEIR PATROL CARS TO ENFORCE TRAFFIC LAWS? THIS CAUSES TRAFFIC DELAYS!
Although we regret any inconvenience we may inadvertently cause any motorist, New York State officials feel this is a very important issue and have asked us to assist them with the enforcement. The high volume of traffic can be very frustrating for all of us. Suffolk County residents and companies have more than one million motor vehicles registered with DMV. In this region, we should always try to build extra time into our commutes. There are a few points about HOV enforcement that you may wish to know about. The most common traffic ticket issued related to HOV lane enforcement is to persons that illegally cross over the dividers and not for sole occupancy violations. Often motorists cross the dividers in conjunction with other violations such as speeding, unsafe lane changes or unsafe passing. If we did not enforce HOV violations, the integrity of the HOV lanes would be compromised and accidents would increase. Additional accidents would undoubtedly create significant traffic jams, and most importantly, additional injuries to motorists. Officers sometimes stand outside their vehicles when performing enforcement to gain a better view to detect offenders and to stop violators. Motorists slowing down to look at police officers standing next to police vehicles is an unfortunate consequence of our traffic safety program.
