AUCTION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

ALL SALES FINAL

Vehicles are sold “AS IS.”  Payment: Cash or Traveler’s checks or Certified Bank Checks in the EXACT AMOUNT are accepted (SUBJECT TO BANK CLEARANCE).  Full payment is due at time of sale for any purchase up to $1000.  Purchases over $1000 require a 25% NON-REFUNDABLE deposit IN ADDITION to the first $1000 and full payment within one (1) business week.  Example: Sale price is $2000, deposit is the first $1000 + $250 for a total deposit of $1250. If you fail to pick up your vehicle within one (1) business week you will be required to pay storage fees of $15 per business day in addition to the balance owed. 

Pre-registration is required in order to bid on vehicles.  If purchasing a vehicle under a business name you must produce the NYS Tax ID Card showing your Tax ID #.

All buyers must produce proper acceptable identification at time of purchase otherwise bid will be void.

Buyers must be 18 years of age or older.

The Auctioneer’s decision is FINAL!

Vehicles become the responsibility of the buyer at the time of purchase.  Purchase subject to any continuing liens that may exist.

You must provide adequate means of removal.   Ropes & nylon straps are NOT to be used for towing vehicle from premises.  The buyer must provide removal of the vehicle within one (1) business week.

All guests must stay within the designated boundaries.    No alcoholic beverages are permitted on County property.    Small children must be supervised.    No animals are permitted.

Auction vehicles may not be started up on County property.  Auction vehicles are not to be removed until the auction is over.

This is an evidence yard.  PHOTOGRAPHS OF ANY KIND ARE PROHIBITED!
Any violation of the rules or any disorderly persons are subject to removal from the property.

General Information
1. Vehicles with an open MV907a, Salvage Certificate, will require a physical inspection to be conducted by DMV prior to their registration & title issuance.  A fee is charged by DMV for this inspection.
2. Vehicles without MV907a’s are sold on a Police Department Bill of Sale & may be registered at a local DMV office.
3. ATVs & Off Road Vehicles require DMV registration.

Special Note
A Suffolk County Board of Ethics Ruling forbids County employees from bidding at this auction.  This ruling extends to the employee’s spouse & also minor children under 18 years of age.
