Suffolk County Crime Stoppers Most Wanted Captured by Sheriff’s Office

Due to the efforts of Correction Officer Investigators of the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office, Franchille Burgos, age 26, one of Suffolk County’s Crime Stoppers most wanted, was arrested yesterday afternoon at 198 Farrington Avenue in Bay Shore. The Sheriff’s Office Internal Security Unit spearheaded the investigation leading to the successful apprehension.

Ms. Burgos, whose arrest record dates back to 1997, was locked in a bedroom along with a pit bull.  Sheriff’s Deputies acting under the authority of a Supreme Court bench warrant for Robbery 2, a felony, were able to make the arrest without further incident.  Ms. Burgos is scheduled to appear at Supreme Court to answer her charges today.

Sheriff Vincent F. DeMarco stated, “The wealth of information that is available every day to our officers inside the Sheriff’s Office has been a valuable asset.  I will continue to encourage all officers to use these resources in every way possible.  In addition, recognition should also go to the Suffolk County Crime Stoppers program which continues to work very closely with my Office.”
