When it’s a sleeve of heroin. An inmate at the Suffolk County Correctional Facility in Yaphank was charged with Felony Promoting Prison Contraband in the 1st when it was discovered that he had smuggled 10 bundles of heroin in a baby sock near his genitals into the facility when he was remanded following an arrest.

Christopher Cokbilen, 27 year old male, in jail on an unrelated Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance charge, now faces a misdemeanor Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th and Felony Promoting Prison Contraband in the 1st charge after Correction Officer Investigator Marcos Franco developed information leading to the discovery of the drugs during a security shake down. Mr. Cokbilen was in possession of 99 individual bags of heroin. Sheriff Vincent F. DeMarco stated, “Our Investigators will use all tools at our disposal be it informants or technology to remove illegal drugs from our facilities.”
