Suffolk County reported the following information related to COVID-19 on October 12, 2021. Last updated October 11, 2021

COVID-19 Vaccine Information

  • 1,070,144 people have received at least one vaccine dose, an increase of 1,173
  • 962,430 people have completed their vaccine series, an increase of 1,198
  • 72.3% of the total population of 1,481,093 has received at least one dose
  • 85.9% of the population ages 18+ has received at least one dose
  • 64.9% percent of the total population has completed the vaccine series
  • 78.1% of the population ages 18+ has completed the vaccine series, as of October 11, 2021
  • 75.8% of the population ages 12+ has completed the vaccine series, as of October 11, 2021

  • Vaccination rates by zip code
  • Walk-in vaccination clinics are offering vaccine to residents who are age 12 and older. No appointment is needed. Medical practitioners and EMS are on-site at all times to answer questions and tend to concerns. Click here for locations and times and parental consent forms. Answers to your vaccine questions can be found on this page, as well.
  • If you are confined to your home and wish to receive your COVID-19 vaccination, call 311. We will take your name and you will be called to schedule your free vaccination at home.

  • 9,492 COVID-19 tests were administered
  • 5,329,175  total tests have been administered since March 2020
  • 415 new cases were reported
  • 236,248  total cases have been reported since March 2020
  • 4.4% of those tested since March 2021 have been confirmed positive for COVID-19
  • 4.4% tested positive in Suffolk County; 3.2% positive on a 7-day average
  • 3.7% tested positive on Long Island; 2.8% positive on a 7-day average
  • COVID Antibodies: 86,248 individuals not previously tested for COVID-19 have tested positive for antibodies; 413,443 total were tested for antibodies

Fatalities, Suffolk County

  • 2  fatalities
  • 3,572  total fatalities since March 2020

Hospitalization, Suffolk County, data is from October 11, 2021

  • 172  individuals were hospitalized, an  increase of 7  in 24 hours
  • 22 were new admissions
  • 35 patients were in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) a decrease of 1  in 24 hours
  • 25 patients were in the ICU and intubated
  • 18 were discharged since the last report
  • 16,602 have been discharged since March 22, 2020
