Suffolk County Offers Free Tai Chi Classes for Mature Residents

 

Dr. James Tomarken, Commissioner of Health Services, invites mature residents to attend Suffolk County’s Tai Chi program. Tai Chi: Moving for Better Balance is an evidence-based program that applies the principles and movements of Tai Chi to help mature residents improve their balance and increase their confidence in performing everyday activities. Tai Chi workshops are led by trained, certified instructors. The classes, which are free to Suffolk County residents, meet for one hour twice a week for eight weeks.
