The next meeting of the Peconic Estuary Program Policy Committee is scheduled for:

Friday, May 18, 2018

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk County-First Floor Conference Room

423 Griffing Ave

Riverhead, NY 11901

12:30 p.m- 2:30 p.m.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone and updating you on what’s been happening this year. Among other things, we will be discussing and asking for approval of the Peconic Estuary Program’s FFY18 budget and work plan. We are also looking forward to roundtable updates from the Policy Committee members: US EPA, NYSDEC, Suffolk County, Local Governments, and from the New England Interstate Water Pollution Control Commission (NEIWPCC), our PEP Technical Advisory Committee and PEP Citizens Advisory Committee.

The Peconic Estuary Program is part of the National Estuary Program (NEP), which aims to protect and preserve nationally significant estuaries that are threatened by pollution, development, or overuse. The Peconic Estuary was named an “estuary of national significance” in 1992.
