UPDATE
Brentwood Health Center Remains Closed
The Suffolk County Brentwood Family Health Center, which closed Wednesday, August 13, due to damage caused by flooding from heavy rains, remains closed. Currently, the closure affects all services, including adult, pediatric, WIC and family planning services and dental and mental health clinics.
Health officials have been contacting patients who have appointments each day to inform them of the closure and to redirect patients to other sites. The health department is using available resources to ensure that high risk patients are seen at alternate sites. Prenatal patients are advised to call Southside Hospital Labor and Delivery if needed.
Patients who have routine medical appointments or who wish to reschedule or make appointments at another county health center may call 631-439-1551. Alternatively, those patients may visit walk-in facilities sites listed below. WIC patients may call 853-3014 to reschedule appointments.
Patients who have mental health appointments and need to be seen or wish to reschedule should call 631-853-7300. Some mental health patients are being seen at the Farmingville Mental Health Clinic.
The Department of Public Works has been overseeing cleanup and demolition. Air quality has been tested, and depending on the results, repairs or additional remediation will commence. Services will be restored as soon as it is determined that it is safe to resume operations.
