UPDATE: Aerial Larvicide Notification

UPDATE

Due to an increase in mosquito breeding in certain areas, several sites have been added to the application notice below.

                                     

The Suffolk County Department of Public Works’ Division of Vector Control plans to treat parts of the following marshes by helicopter to control mosquito larvae.  Should weather conditions prevent completion of the work, it will be continued on the next suitable day.

Time and date of the application: July 25-27, 2017, 6:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Method of application:  Low altitude, granular application

Name of Pesticide: VectoPrime FG EPA #73049-501 (Bti – Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis and Methoprene)
