The Suffolk County Department of Health Services in Partnership with the Long Island Council on
Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (LICADD) is offering a two hour “Compassion Fatigue Education and
Prevention for First Responders.” This training aims to raise awareness of Compassion Fatigue through
education and resilience training for EMS professionals and other first responders working tirelessly on
the front lines of the current opioid public health crisis. This class has been approved for two (2) hours of
EMS Non‐Core Training “Preparatory” for EMS providers. To register for a class please contact SCEMS

This class will take place on June 17, 2019 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Suffolk EMS Division, 360 Yaphank Ave. Suite 1B, Yaphank, NY 11980
