COVID-19 Case Update - November 15, 2021

Suffolk County reported the following information related to COVID-19 on November 15, 2021. Last updated November 14, 2021

COVID-19 Vaccine Information

  • 1,104,871 people have received at least one vaccine dose, an increase of 1,058
  • 998,223 people have completed their vaccine series, an increase of 359
  • 74.6% of the total population of 1,481,093 has received at least one dose
  • 88.3% of the population ages 18+ has received at least one dose
  • 67.4% percent of the total population has completed the vaccine series
  • 81. 2% of the population ages 18+ has completed the vaccine series.
  • 78.9% of the population ages 12+ has completed the vaccine series.

  • Walk-in vaccination clinics are offering vaccine to Suffolk County residents who are age 5 and older. No appointment is needed. Medical practitioners and EMS are on-site at all times to answer questions and tend to concerns. Click here for locations and times and parental consent forms.   • If you are confined to your home and wish to receive your COVID-19 vaccination, call 311. We will take your name and you will be called to schedule your free vaccination at home.

  • 479 new cases were reported
  • 32.3 cases per 100k; 27.4 on a 7-day average
  • 247,466 total cases have been reported since March 2020
  • 5.0% tested positive in Suffolk County; 3.7% positive on a 7-day average
  • 4.6% tested positive on Long Island; 3.3% positive on a 7-day average

Fatalities, Suffolk County

  • 2 fatalities
  • 3,659 total fatalities since March 2020

Hospitalization, Suffolk County, data is from November 14, 2021

  • 109 individuals were hospitalized, a decrease of 13 in 24 hours
  • 14  were new admissions
  • 24 patients were in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), no change in 24 hours
  • 15 patients were in the ICU and intubated
  • 22  were discharged since the last report
  • 17,176 have been discharged since March 22, 2020

Hospital Capacity, Suffolk County

  • 3,101 hospital beds, 754 available, 24%
