     Sayville Beach and Sayville Marina Park Beach Reopened

Benjamin Beach, Tanner Park Beach and

Peconic Dunes Camp (Great Pond) Beach Remain Closed

 

James L. Tomarken, MD,MPH, MBA, MSW, Commissioner of the Suffolk County Department of Health Services, said today that the beach closures issued for Sayville Beach and Sayville Marina Park Beach have been lifted.  Results of recent samples collected show the water quality to be within acceptable levels.

 

Benjamin Beach in Bayshore, Tanner Park Beach in Copiague and Peconic Dunes Camp Beach on Great Pond in Peconic remain closed to bathing due to elevated bacterial numbers.
