     West Meadow Beach Closed

Benjamin Beach, Tanner Park Beach, and

Peconic Dunes Camp (Great Pond) Beach Remain Closed

 

 

James L. Tomarken, MD, MPH, MBA, MSW, Commissioner of the Suffolk County Department of Health Services, says today that West Meadow Beach in Stony Brook is closed to bathing due to the finding of bacterial levels in excess of acceptable criteria. 

 

Additionally, Benjamin Beach in Bay Shore, Tanner Park Beach in Copiague and Peconic Dunes Camp Beach on Great Pond in Peconic remain closed to bathing due to elevated bacterial numbers.
