Benjamin Beach Closed

Peconic Dunes Camp Beach (on Great Pond), Tanner Park Beach,

Sayville Beach, and Sayville Marina Park Beach Remain Closed    

 

Suffolk County Department of Health Services announced that Benjamin Beach in Bay Shore is closed to bathing due to the finding of bacterial levels in excess of acceptable criteria. 

 

Additionally, Peconic Dunes Camp Beach (on Great Pond), Tanner Park Beach in Copiague, Sayville Beach and Sayville Marina Park Beach remain closed.

 

For the latest information on affected beaches, call the Bathing Beach HOTLINE at 852-5822, contact the Department's Office of Ecology at 852-5760 during normal business hours, or visit the website at www.suffolkcountyny.gov/health and under “Our Mission,” “Our Environment,” click “Beaches.”
