COVID-19 CASE UPDATE - January 30, 2021, 6:00 p.m.

Suffolk County reported the following information related to COVID-19 on January 30, 2021. Last updated January 29, 2020.

COVID-19 Vaccine Information  As of January 30 at 11 a.m., on Long Island

  • 268,545  COVID-19 vaccine doses have been received
  • 199,820 doses have been administered, 74%

COVID-19 Viral Testing: On January 29:

  •         19,216 COVID-19 tests were administered
  •         2,490,257  total tests have been administered since March
  •         1,130  new cases were reported
  •         142,484 total cases have been reported since March
  •         5.7% of those tested since March have been confirmed positive for COVID-19
  •         5.9% tested positive in Suffolk County yesterday; 6.7% positive on a 7-day average
  •         5.6% tested positive on Long Island yesterday; 6.4% positive on a 7-day average

Antibody Testing, Suffolk County

  • 35,918 individuals not previously tested for COVID-19 have tested positive for antibodies
  • 326,798 total were tested for antibodies

Fatalities, Suffolk County

  • 11 fatalities
  • 2,781 total fatalities

Hospitalization, Suffolk County, data from January 29, 2021

  • 716 individuals were hospitalized, a decrease of 17 in 24 hours
  • 69 were new admissions
  • 131 patients were in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), an increase of 4 in 24 hours
  • 92 patients were in the ICU and intubated
  • 71  were discharged since the last report
  • 10,220 discharged since March 22

Hospital Capacity, Suffolk County

  • 3,203 hospital beds, 755  available, 24%
  • 440 ICU beds, 110 available, 25%
