Covid-19 Case Update May 31, 2021 5:15pm

Suffolk County reported the following information related to COVID-19 on May 31, 2021. Last updated May 30, 2021
COVID-19 Vaccine Information - As of May 31, 2021  
•    815,454 people have received at least one vaccine dose, an increase of 1,901
•    55.1% of the total population of 1,481,093 has received at least one dose
•    67.5% of the population ages 18+ has received at least one dose  
•    694,328 people have completed their vaccine series, an increase of 1,947
•    46.8% percent of the total population of 1,481,093 have completed their vaccine series

•    423,900 was the weekly allocation of COVID-19 vaccine first doses fully delivered to New York providers during the week 5/24-5/30.
•    Walk-in vaccination clinics are offering vaccine to residents who are age 12 and older. No appointment is needed. Medical practitioners and EMS are on-site at all times to answer questions and tend to concerns. Click here for locations and times and parental consent forms. •    If you are confined to your home and wish to receive your COVID-19 vaccination, call 311. We will take your name and you will be called to schedule your free vaccination at home.
COVID-19 Viral Testing- On May 30, 2021
•    6,019 COVID-19 tests were administered
•    4,147,096 total tests have been administered since March 2020
•    19 new cases were reported
•    200,520 total cases have been reported since March 2020
•    4.8% of those tested since March 2021 have been confirmed positive for COVID-19
•    0.3% tested positive in Suffolk County yesterday; 0.7% positive on a 7-day average
•    0.4% tested positive on Long Island yesterday; 0.6% positive on a 7-day average

Antibody Testing Suffolk County
•    56,873 individuals not previously tested for COVID-19 have tested positive for antibodies
•    377,270 total were tested for antibodies
Fatalities, Suffolk County 
•    1 fatality
•    3,392 total fatalities
Hospitalization, Suffolk County, data is from May 30, 2021
•    72 individuals were hospitalized, an decrease of 11 in 24 hours
•    0 were new admissions
•    21 patients were in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), a decrease of 3 in 24 hours
•    12 patients were in the ICU and intubated
•    12 were discharged since the last report
•    14,571 have been discharged since March 22,2020
