COVID-19 Case Update - November 3, 2021

Suffolk County reported the following information related to COVID-19 on November 3, 2021. Last updated November 2, 2021

COVID-19 Vaccine Information

  • 1,090,166 people have received at least one vaccine dose, an increase of 986
  • 987,368 people have completed their vaccine series, an increase of 983
  • 73.7% of the total population of 1,481,093 has received at least one dose
  • 87.5% of the population ages 18+ has received at least one dose
  • 66.7% percent of the total population has completed the vaccine series
  • 80. 3% of the population ages 18+ has completed the vaccine series.
  • 78.0% of the population ages 12+ has completed the vaccine series.

  • Walk-in vaccination clinics are offering vaccine to residents who are age 12 and older. No appointment is needed. Medical practitioners and EMS are on-site at all times to answer questions and tend to concerns. Click here for locations and times and parental consent forms.   • If you are confined to your home and wish to receive your COVID-19 vaccination, call 311. We will take your name and you will be called to schedule your free vaccination at home.

  • 10,365 COVID-19 tests were administered
  • 5,585,102 total tests have been administered since March 2020
  • 231 new cases were reported
  • 15.6 cases per 100k
  • 242,959 total cases have been reported since March 2020
  • 2.2% tested positive in Suffolk County; 2.3% positive on a 7-day average
  • 2.3% tested positive on Long Island; 2.2% positive on a 7-day average

  • COVID Antibodies: 92,111 individuals not previously tested for COVID-19 have tested positive for antibodies; 419,670  total were tested for antibodies

Fatalities, Suffolk County

  • 3 fatalities
  • 3,638 total fatalities since March 2020

Hospitalization, Suffolk County, data is from November 2, 2021

  • 142 individuals were hospitalized, increase of 9 in 24 hours
  • 26  were new admissions
  • 33 patients were in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) an increase of 3 in 24 hours
  • 23 patients were in the ICU and intubated
  • 15 were discharged since the last report
  • 17,000 have been discharged since March 22, 2020

Hospital Capacity, Suffolk County

  • 3,101 hospital beds, 656 available, 21%
  • 401 ICU beds, 99 available, 25%
