Covid-19 Case Update February 3, 2022

Suffolk County reported the following information related to COVID-19 on February 32022. Last updated February 22022

 

COVID-19 Vaccine Information

1,198,289 people have received at least one vaccine dose, an increase of 765.

1,076,500 people is fully vaccinated, an increase of 1,032.

80.9% of the total population of 1,481,093 has received at least one dose.

93.3% of the population ages 18 and older has received at least one dose.

72.7% percent of the total population is fully vaccinated.

84.8% of the population ages 18 and older is fully vaccinated.

77.5% of the population ages 5 and older is fully vaccinated.

41.8% of fully vaccinated population have had a booster dose.

Walk-in vaccination clinics are offering COVID vaccines to Suffolk County residents who are age 5 and older as well as booster doses to all who are eligible. Appointments are recommended. Medical practitioners and EMS are on-site at all times to answer questions and tend to concerns. Click here for locations and times and parental consent forms. 10,856  COVID-19 tests were administered.

6,908,240 total tests have been administered since March 2020.

626 new cases were reported.

42.3 cases per 100k; 39.6 on a 7-day average.

417,188 total cases have been reported since March 2020.

5.8% tested positive in Suffolk County; 6.6% positive on a 7-day average.

5.5% tested positive on Long Island; 6.4% positive on a 7-day average.

Fatalities, Suffolk County, February 2, 2022

8 fatalities:

4,232 fatalities since March 2020

 

Hospitalization, Suffolk County, February 2, 2022

440 individuals were hospitalized, an decrease of 43  in 24 hours.

58 were new admissions.

62 patients were in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), an decrease of 17 in 24 hours.

42 patients were in the ICU and intubated.

84 were discharged since the last report.

22,380 have been discharged since March 22, 2020.
