Suffolk County reported the following information related to COVID-19 on February 10, 2022. Last updated February 9, 2022

COVID-19 Vaccine Information

  • 1,203,037 people have received at least one vaccine dose, an increase of 718.
  • 1,082,948  people is fully vaccinated, an increase of 985.
  • 95.0% of the population ages 18 and older has received at least one dose.
  • 73.8% percent of the total population is fully vaccinated.
  • 85.1% of the population ages 18 and older is fully vaccinated.
  • 78% of the population ages 5 and older is fully vaccinated.
  • 42.9% of fully vaccinated population have had a booster dose.

  • Walk-in vaccination clinics are offering COVID vaccines to Suffolk County residents who are age 5 and older as well as booster doses to all who are eligible. Appointments are recommended. Medical practitioners and EMS are on-site at all times to answer questions and tend to concerns. Click here for locations and times and parental consent forms. Fatalities, Suffolk County, February 9, 2022

  • 3 fatalities:
  • 4,288 fatalities since March 2020

Hospitalization, Suffolk County, February 9, 2022

  • 324 individuals were hospitalized, an decrease of 9 in 24 hours.
  • 39 were new admissions.
  • 49 patients were in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), no change in 24 hours.
  • 26 patients were in the ICU and intubated.
  • 47 were discharged since the last report.
  • 22,729  have been discharged since March 22, 2020.

  • 2,842  staffed hospital beds, 803 available, 28%
  • 372 ICU beds, 97 available, 26%
