The County Executive Steven Bellone knows that economic opportunity is the key to the revitalization of economically depressed communities and has instituted several programs to support economic growth in Suffolk County.
One of the most important needs of the minority community is to be kept apprised of Suffolk County projects on which they can bid.
This website will provide a list of Minority and Women owned business (M/WBE’s) and certified businesses that will be made available to all Suffolk County entities searching for M/WBE’s to do business with.
The site will be a resource to general contractors on County jobs. Registration on this site for “smart emails” will notify M/WBE’s of upcoming County projects that will require both general and subcontract work allowing general contractors to meet Suffolk County utilization goals.
All of Suffolk’s residents – of any race, color or creed – care about a myriad of issues that affect their daily lives – affordable homes, livable taxes, safe neighborhoods, accessible health care, quality jobs and business opportunity.
The Bellone's Administration number one priority has always been to make Suffolk County the land of opportunity and the place where we can all make these dreams come true.
