Patient Advocate Unit (PAU)

Our Mission

The Patient Advocate Unit (PAU) was established through Legislative Resolution No. 859-2012 and 351-2013, and serves vulnerable Suffolk County residents who need assistance accessing healthcare or health related resources. The unit is operated by staff from the Division of Patient Care.
