Vector Control Pesticide Management Committee Meeting Scheduled

The Vector Control Pesticide Management Committee is composed of various county and non-county members who are charged with reviewing emerging literature on potential impacts of vector control pesticides and evaluating pesticide reduction alternatives in regard to vector control activities.

Board of Review Hearings

The Suffolk County Department of Health Services’ Division of Environmental Quality will hold its regular monthly Board of Review hearing on Thursday, January 17th, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. in the conference room at 360 Yaphank Ave., Suite 2C, Yaphank, NY 11980.

Board of Health Meeting Scheduled

In the event that a quorum cannot be achieved, the Board of Health meeting will be canceled.  It is advisable to call 631-854-0100 the day of the meeting to find out if the meeting will take place.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Health Center

The purpose of the Advisory Board is to advise the Commissioner of Health Services, through the Division of Patient Care Services Administration, on matters relating to the operation of the

health center.  The meeting is open to the public.  Guests are asked to call in advance.

Suffolk County’s Spanish Language Food Manager’s Class Draws Standing-Room-Only Crowd

James Tomarken, Commissioner of the Department of Health Services, announced today that the Bureau of Public Health Protection (PHP) is once again offering its Spanish language food manager’s course. The new course was conducted this week, from Tuesday through Thursday, December 18th through 20th.
